A duct-material enquiry should follow an approved layout and specification. A general request for 'duct fittings' leaves the supplier without dimensions or connection details. Refco's piping and fittings services can be discussed with a prepared schedule; the airflow design itself remains a project-professional responsibility.
Use drawing dimensions and tags
List each fitting or material by its drawing tag, shape, dimensions, material specification and quantity. Identify rectangular and round requirements explicitly and keep the units consistent. For transitions and branches, attach the approved detail rather than summarizing the item with a single main dimension. Record the drawing revision that controls the enquiry.
Separate accessories from the main material
Identify specified jointing, sealing, support and insulation materials as separate lines. Ask the branch which of the listed categories and references can be supplied, without assuming every fabricated detail is available. Check any proposed change with the project designer before ordering. Receiving should verify the supplied dimensions and labels, while performance and installation checks remain with the site team.
A practical enquiry example
A transition needs both end dimensions and the approved detail. If the enquiry provides only one face size, mark it incomplete rather than allowing the supplier response to silently assume the other end.

Can the supplier choose duct sizes from a parts request?
The enquiry should use the approved design sizes. A supply list does not replace airflow design or project approval.
