An air-filter order needs the correct fit as well as the approved filtration requirement. 'Standard AC filter' is not an exact specification. Record the equipment or filter-housing reference, the existing label and the required dimensions, then have the maintenance team confirm the replacement.
Distinguish the label from measured dimensions
Copy the size as printed and identify the units. If actual dimensions are needed to check the housing, record them separately rather than replacing the label's size without explanation. Include depth and filter format, not just two face dimensions. A panel, pleated element and reusable equipment-specific filter should not be treated as interchangeable because they have similar outlines.
Keep performance requirements attached
Use the maintenance team's approved filtration and airflow requirements with the size. Ask the branch to confirm the proposed reference and package quantity, especially if filters are sold in packs. At receiving, check labels against the equipment allocation. Do not select a higher filtration rating as an automatic upgrade without checking the system and housing requirements.
A practical enquiry example
For several filter housings, attach a simple equipment-to-filter schedule. Even when two filters share face dimensions, listing depth and reference by housing helps prevent the replacement stock from being mixed at handover.
Enquiry checklist
- Printed size and units
- Actual dimensions separately if needed
- Depth, format and housing reference
- Approved filtration and quantity
Is filter width and height enough to place an order?
No. Depth, format, equipment fit and the approved performance requirement also matter.
Discuss your requirement with Refco
Prepare the approved references and quantities, then contact the branch to confirm availability and collection details before visiting.
